Still Points
Our Still Points are offered at no cost to our community. Stillpoint is deeply grateful to our generous donors and our many spiritual directors who donate their time to facilitate these contemplative practices. We invite you to help us continue to share the gift of deep listening and spiritual formation program offerings with all who come by making a donation below.
Centering Prayer
Monday - Friday, Online
5:30pm PT / 6:30pm MT / 7:30pm CT / 8:30pm ET
Centering Prayer opens us to the Divine Presence within by going beyond thoughts and feelings expressed in words. Centering Prayer is prayer that creates room for God to “speak” and to act in the silence of our inmost being, healing our lives and transforming us into the likeness of Christ. It is a method of meditation, distilled from the ancient writings of the Christian tradition. Centering Prayer prepares our faculties to receive the gift of contemplation, which is “resting in God”, resting in the presence of Ultimate Mystery, beyond words, beyond thoughts and beyond feelings.
BioSpiritual Focusing
Every Tuesday, Online
12:00pm PT / 1:00pm MT / 2:00pm CT / 3:00pm ET
What we know is all the difficult feelings we carry within us, sadness, fear and anxiety, physical pain and tension are all in need of our own listening and kindness.
We can learn to bring compassion to our most difficult feelings rather than pushing them down, and by strengthening this relationship with our bodies we find a pathway into profound healing and release.
This journey can lead us to the place inside our bodies where God resides, the place of love in our hearts. This journey can lead us home to ourselves.
Wisdom Chanting
Every Wednesday, Online
2:00pm PT / 3:00pm MT / 4:00pm CT / 5:00pm ET
Chanting is a spiritual practice that opens our hearts and enlivens our being. In this time of great anxiety, I find chanting to be one of the things that grounds me the most. All are welcome to join this time of singing sacred chants.
Contemplative Liturgies
Online & Recordings
Upcoming: Contemplative Holy Week - March 24 - 31, 2024
Drawing on the tradition of the mystics, Stillpoint’s Contemplative Liturgies “arise out of a ground of silence” and are intended to be in counterpoint with that silence, not to displace it. The liturgies include chants, readings, and silent meditation.
