Faculty

Myra Crittle-Smith earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The University of Michigan and is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 30 years of experience. For the past twenty years, she has worked with individuals learning to manage persistent pain and chronic illness. She graduated from Stillpointʼs BIPOC Spiritual Journey Program and earned her certification as a spiritual director through The Art of Spiritual Direction and The Art of Group Spiritual Direction Programs. After a twenty-two-year hiatus, she returned to the Catholic Church and met a priest who became her first spiritual director. Her faith journey took her to new places and spaces, sparking her interest in connecting with the Divine outside of traditional religion. She believes that all faith traditions and spiritual paths lead to the Divine. Her current faith community is Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Central California. Myraʼs interests include the intersection of psychology and spirituality, art and photography as contemplative practices, well-being, aging with grace, and supporting people at the end of life. She is dedicated to social justice and helping those who have been mistreated and marginalized find healing. In her personal time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Shawn Patrick, and walking her furry companions, Augustus Tolton and Madison Rose. She also enjoys watercolor painting, reading, and hosting Sunday dinners.

Rev. Dr. Zandra Wagoner, for much of her career, served as the Interfaith Chaplain at the University of La Verne for 25 years. As Chaplain, she directed the multi- religious Office of Religious and Spiritual Life, taught religion courses, and was actively involved in interfaith efforts locally and nationally.  Currently she serves as the senior advisor to the Provost and faculty coach at Loyola Marymount University. She is an ordained minister in the Church of the Brethren and holds a Ph.D in Religious Studies. She is a graduate of Stillpoint’s Art of the Spiritual Direction and offers both individual and group spiritual direction, incorporating various modalities of spiritual practices such as Eco-Spiritual Direction, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Bio-Spiritual Focusing, contemplative movement, and the creative arts. She is also a SoulCollage® facilitator, a certified yoga instructor, and is certified in the art of telepathic animal and nature communication – although still learning – from Maia Kincaid’s Animal Communication School. She shares her life with her partner Linda and an enthusiastic and optimistic dog named Barley.
