The Breath of the Ancestors*, The Wisdom of Spirit Guides: An Epiphany Collage and Writing Retreat
January 11th, 2025
9:00am – 2:30pm (PT)
This retreat will be held online and recorded for later viewing.
Description
Join us for a transformative journey as we embrace Epiphany’s affinity for sparks of revealed truth and flashes of knowing that guide our way. Drawing upon the Magi/Wise Ones’ practice of deep listening to their ancestors and their spirit guides for insight and knowing, we will also listen deeply within for sparks of truth from our ancestors/guides. We will use the spiritual practices of contemplative writing, art-making, and reflection to collectively explore Epiphany’s invitation to listen for the breath of our ancestors and the wisdom of our spirit guides, seeking insight, guidance and connection for the journey ahead.
In this interactive session, we will create a SoulCollage® card that will facilitate deep listening, complimented with imaginative writing prompts. No prior experience of SoulCollage® or contemplative writing necessary. You will need to bring some craft supplies to the online retreat (details will be sent after registration).
What to Expect: After an opening meditation, followed by a short presentation, participants will create SoulCollage® cards in a quiet and contemplative way. Participants will engage with writing prompts to dive deeper into the workshop theme, their ancestors/guides and their SoulCollage® card, and includes opportunities to share and reflect with others in breakout and large group sessions. SoulCollage® is a process of intuitively selecting images to make small, 5”x 8” collage cards and reflectively engaging with those images for self-awareness, spiritual exploration, and community building.
This retreat offers a rare opportunity to intentionally connect with your ancestors/spiritual guides. It’s a chance to honor your unique journey, engage in a conversation with those who have gone before you, and receive insight and wisdom for your continued journey.
*Our ancestors include those on our own family trees, but they also can include the ancestors of our community, our ancestors of faith, the ancestors of the land on which we live, the ancestors of the natural world or cosmos
