Internal Family Systems as a Model for Spiritual Companions
with Frank Rogers, Jr.

We are now accepting registrations!

What is the program?

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a contemplative, soulful, and non-pathologizing approach to personal healing and spiritual transformation. A contemporary spiritual path, it deepens our connection to a sacred Source of loving energy; it tends, with care, to the cacophony of emotions, impulses, and interior self-chatter that so often swirl within us; and it restores us to our true Self—that reservoir of personal power, expansiveness, and compassion that dwells within every human being.

Who should attend?

This graduate program is designed specifically for spiritual companions—spiritual directors, chaplains, pastoral counselors, and other soul-care workers*—who want to explore how IFS can be a model and a process for compassion-based soul care that keeps care providers grounded in our own compassionate essence and invites those to whom we provide care into a deeper connection with the sacred and with their own spiritual essence. Through self-reflection exercises, contemplative practices, interpersonal processes, and caregiving practice groups, we will explore how to tend parts of ourselves that become activated in our work as spiritual companions—for example, fix-it parts, overwhelmed parts, critical parts, and parts activated around race and privilege—and we will explore the practice of soul care that embodies the principles and processes of IFS.
