CANCELED - Contemplative Writing, New Intentions and Healing: New Year, Bold New Life with Judith Favor

With sadness we let you know that Saturday’s Retreat leader, Judith Favor, has asked to cancel her retreat due to her husband entering hospice this week. Please keep Judith and her husband, Pete, in your prayers for the Journey ahead.
— Elizabeth Rechter, Stillpoint Executive Director

Description

Let all who are around bring gifts to the one who is awesome.
— Psalm 76:11

The Magi aren’t the only ones bearing gifts during Epiphany. Those who view inspiration as gift also receive the fruits of personal creativity as gift.

Prayer and poetry are close cousins. “They play at the edges of mystery,” writes Marilyn McEntyre, author of When Poets Pray. “Poets hold a tension between line and sentence, between sense and reason, between the transcendent and the deeply, comfortingly familiar.”

Please bring one treasured poem to give away during this retreat, words that have gifted you and will gift a spiritual companion during Epiphany.

Who has given a gift to him, to receive a gift in return?
— Romans 11:35

Registration

The cost for this retreat is $68 ($78 with lunch).

Register before December 4, 2019 for a $10 discount!
