When Tomorrow Comes ’round Again

by Ernie Tamminga

sunrise-in-fog-79456_1280I believe you’ll be singing
the songs that you sang
I can’t remember back when

I think you’ll be dancing
the steps that you taught me,
When tomorrow comes ’round again

I believe you’ll be crying so hard that you’re laughing
And you’ll open your eyes, and then
You’ll see for the first time
        the world you’ve believed in
when tomorrow comes ’round again

So take my hands, and hold them
for one sweet moment in time
And we’ll be the pulse
of all of Creation
When our hearts are beating in rhyme.

I can’t wait to see the smile on your face
when there’s no need to pretend
that your heart wasn’t breaking
all that time you were waiting
for tomorrow to come ’round again.

So take my hands, and hold them
for one sweet moment in time
And we’ll be the pulse
of all of Creation
When our hearts are beating in rhyme.
