An extraordinary spiritual notion has emerged in the last twenty years. It reflects the dynamic intersection of spirituality, faith traditions, and spiritual practice. This point of integration is called Interspirituality. Karen Basquez, spiritual director and adjunct faculty at Stillpoint: The Center for Christian Spirituality will lead a course that explores this fascinating development in contemporary faith, recognizing that the mystery of interconnection opens our hearts. The group will meet in ten sessions, one Saturday morning each month as a form of personal retreat for each participant. Come and be part of this amazing journey. Participants will follow the invitation of Jesus to move more deeply into an awareness of Truth. Using key readings, reflections, discussion and spiritual practices, the class will work steadily toward the goal of crafting a personal relationship with the Holy, while expanding awareness of the Sacred Self, Sacred Other and Sacred World. A core reading will be The Mystic Heart by Wayne Teasdale. If you would like more information or to discuss the class with Karen Basquez, please make that request through Melissa Hayes at Mhstillpoint@aol.com. |
