When I awoke the morning after our recent presidential election, along with many emotions I heard a clear knowing in my heart that has stayed with me. It is that there are many kinds of leadership that make up the life of a nation and the head of state is one. Spiritual leadership is another. And this leadership is as important as ever.
Stillpoint is in the sacred business of cultivating spiritual leadership.
We exist to help people like you find your way into authentic spirituality. We do this by training people to be spiritual companions in our communities, providing opportunities to strengthen our contemplative lives, and by offering soul-care retreats to all who hunger for it.
This year, with the support of spiritual leaders like you, we celebrated the graduation of 19 newly minted Spiritual Directors from both our local program in Southern California and our national program in Ghost Ranch, NM. We also have our largest Spiritual Journey class in recent history. And we continue to offer special days of contemplative learning and reflection. It has become clear to us: our world is hungry for spiritual leadership.
Stillpoint attempts to be self-funded. While trying to keep tuition costs as low as possible, these funds also meet the costs of speaker honorariums, meeting spaces, printed materials (which we’re striving to use sparingly, consciously), meals, teaching stipends, and modest administrative support.
Every year, we depend on outside support from those who know the importance of this work. We could not do the good work we do without the generosity of our community.
This year we need to raise $60,000 through our annual appeal to help strengthen these areas:
When people are supported in listening at the level of soul — where deep wisdom is found — it brings spiritual strength to our communities, to our nation, to the world.
I am grateful for your spiritual leadership, and I hope you will consider financially supporting this work with a tax-deductible year end gift.
Will you partner with us to continue supporting spiritual leadership in our world?
