Stillpoint has been offering programs for personal spiritual formation, and training in the Art of Spiritual Direction, for over thirty years. Rooted in the Christian tradition, we are open to and appreciative of all traditions. Whether you consider yourself a committed member of a spiritual tradition or a "solo" seeker, you are welcome at Stillpoint.
In addition to the programs shown below, we also offer retreats and one-day workshops throughout the year.
The Spiritual Journey
This is an interactive, contemplative experience that invites participants into a deep exploration of their personal spiritual lives in a small group setting
In California, the class is offered as an 8-month series beginning in September. Applications are now being accepted for the 2016-2017 class. Click for details
We also offer The Spiritual Journey in an intensive one-week residential format in Ghost Ranch, New Mexico. Click here for details.
Becoming a Spiritual Director
If you delight in spiritual friendship and conversation, have a good ear to listen and hear others, and enjoy the spiritual journey, you may have the gifts to become a spiritual director or companion to others. Stillpoint has created a new three-day orientation to this ancient ministry. Those who are exploring how and what spiritual director/companions do are invited to join us for an enjoyable introduction to this extraordinary work. Click here for details.
The Art of Spiritual Direction
Stillpoint’s training program in The Art of Spiritual Direction is a two-year ecumenical program, rooted in the Christian tradition and open to all faiths. We also offer an intensive, residential version of the course at Ghost Ranch, in New Mexico.
We pursue the art of spiritual direction with hours of practice with participants and staff so the graduates can experience and perfect their gifts in being spiritually present to others. Participants find that their lives change as their gifts of deep listening and presence emerge.
